Stanley County Elementary has a special fundraiser. Ms. Shari Beeghly, our Stanley County Elementary 4th and 5th grade ELA Teacher, and former Orton Country School teacher is battling cancer. All students elementary thru high school are encouraged to participate as she taught many of the middle and high school students in the past. To help her out, there is a “Change War” between the students. The Change War will start on Monday, February 6 and end on Thursday, February 16. Change, dollar bills, and checks made to SC Schools will be accepted. The classroom that raises the most money will get to choose a pizza party or sundaes for the class. Other planned fundraisers include: a Pink Out Night with a 50/50 at the basketball doubleheader game on Friday, February 17; donation buckets at the concession stand during events through the end of the season; and a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch on Thursday, April 6th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
