Don't forget conferences today 09-28-23 with early release. Elementary students are excused at 12:30, and middle-high school students at 12:40. Middle-High School Conferences are in the middle-high school gym 1:30-7:30 p.m. Elementary conferences are scheduled with the teacher.

Congratulations to the following Stanley County Seniors who were selected for the 2023 Homecoming Court. Royal court candidates are pictured left to right. King candidates include Barret Schweitzer, Broch Zeeb, Ehran Cantu’ & Levi Wagner-Erno. Queen candidates include Cadence Hand, Tatum Scott, Mattie Duffy, and Rachel Nemec. 2nd-grade crown bearers are Tane Cronin & Kynlee Stoddard.
SC Homecoming is the week of October 2-6 with the theme “A Sweet Adventure!” Coronation festivities are Tuesday, October 3 in Parkview Auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m. (Please note the location is a change from previous years) Homecoming events include dress-up days as follows, Monday-“Rolo over” -wear your pajamas, Tuesday-“Mike & Ike”-twin day, Wednesday-“Lifesavers”-dress up as a superhero, Thursday-“Skittles”-class colors, (Seniors and 5th grade wear white, Juniors and 4th-grade wear red, Sophomores and 3rd grade wear black, Freshmen and 2nd grade wear teal, 8th grade and 1st grade wear purple, 7th grade and kindergarten wear yellow, 6th grade wear orange.) Friday- “Spirit Day”-purple & gold. The parade is Friday, October 6 with the time to be determined. Homecoming concludes with the Buffaloes vs. the Lemmon Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. at Ole Williamson Field.
There will be no middle school game with Lower Brule on Monday, 9/25. Thank you.
Mr. Bonhorst has Hayden Monson memorial window clings for sale in his classroom. The cost is $5.00 each. Proceeds go to the family.
There will be a Cupcake Silent Auction at the volleyball matches with Potter County tomorrow, September 21, in Gettysburg. Potter County's AD and football coach, Vern Smith is battling cancer currently and this is to fundraise for his medical expenses.

Senator Jim Mehlhaff from District 24 visited Mrs. Quinn's Senior Government class. He discussed his early career and what led him to the SD Legislature. He also answered questions about issues in state government. He was a newly elected member of the South Dakota legislature in 2023.
