The Stanley County HOSA members attended the Fall Leadership Academy. HOSA is the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA. This academy was held at Western Dakota Tech in Rapid City. Members attended a leadership session, then rotated through clinical nursing, respiratory therapy, listening to lungs, speaking to a patient, and entering and exiting the exam room. The Middle-High School August-September Students and Staff of the Month have been named. Staff members are chosen by the students of the month. Congratulations to Mrs. Cheryl Sorenson was chosen as the recipient of Staff of the Month. Students are selected based on the ROAMS categories of respect, ownership, achievement, mindfulness, and safety. Students selected are pictured left-right. The Stanley County School Board voted to dissolve gymnastics because of low numbers and not having two qualified coaches mainly for safety reasons. Thank you.
