Over 50% of SD students utilize SORA the student reading app. As you can see SC is 2nd in the state for their eBook and audiobook usage. Great job students, keep it up!
Mr. Michael Dowell, 3rd grade teacher was selected as the November Elementary Staff Member of the Month. Mr. Dowell took significant action by promoting the reinstatement of the “Accelerated Reader” program for our district. This program has encouraged reluctant readers and their parents to read more. He also encourages student assistance in delivering his rousing morning announcements and pledge of allegiance. Thanks for your enthusiasm and commitment!
