kindergarten owls

Recently, kindergarten students from Mrs. Schulz and Mrs. Foley's classes had an exciting visit from GF&P Wildlife Conservation Officer, Dylan Peterson. This visit was part of an ongoing exploration of owls, inspired by the book "Owls in the Family" by Farley Mowat.

Officer Peterson provided the students with fascinating information about the different species of owls that inhabit South Dakota. He explained where these owls could be found and shared interesting facts about their behaviors and habitats. The students were very interested to examine the contents of an owl pellet and observe skulls from different species.

Thank you to Officer Peterson!
