This spring, the Stanley County School FFA program showcased its talent and dedication by participating in several competitions. Despite facing scheduling conflicts such as prom and work commitments, the team managed to make a notable impact in the livestock evaluation event.
Three dedicated members represented Stanley County in the livestock judging competition: Owen Spencer, Nick Gregg, and James Nemec. Out of nearly 200 participants, Owen achieved an impressive 18th place, Nick secured the 76th spot, and James placed 146th. Their combined efforts led the team to rank 24th overall out of 63 teams.
In addition to the livestock evaluation, Stanley County FFA members qualified for state contests in various categories. Emily Nemec, Journey Schnee, and James Nemec demonstrated their expertise in dairy cattle evaluation. Owen Spencer, Nick Gregg, and Timber Hanson excelled in livestock evaluation. Furthermore, Keaton Keil and Kenzi Herren showcased their skills in horse evaluation.
This achievement is particularly commendable for such a young team. Their performance not only highlights their potential but also sets a promising foundation for future competitions. The Stanley County School FFA program is looking forward to working with these talented individuals over the summer and next year, aiming to build on their success and continue their growth.
Congratulations to Owen, Nick, James, Emily, Journey, Timber, Keaton, Kenzi, and the entire Stanley County School FFA team for their hard work and dedication! We are excited to see what the future holds for these young agricultural enthusiasts.
