What makes healthy soil? SC 4th and 5th graders explored this question with Wyatt Johnson of the SD Soil Health Coalition. He read the book "The Soil Quilt," which helped the students find the answer. They observed a model demonstrating liquid flow through tilled versus undisturbed soil and considered how healthy soil helps prevent flooding and drought. Thank you, Mr. Johnson.
