Keira Briggs, Kaysen Magee, Raegan Taylor, Brecken Huebner, and Emerson Forest from Stanley County HOSA visited Black Hills State in Rapid City to enhance their nursing skills. In the morning, they worked with an SDSU nursing instructor to learn and practice taking vitals understanding their importance. The afternoon was spent with AHEC members using virtual goggles to practice nursing procedures. They also learned about the differences between healthy and unhealthy lungs using pigs, to demonstrate the impact of smoking.
